Smilodon is a genus of the extinct machairodont subfamily of the felids. It is one of the most famous prehistoric mammals and the best known saber-toothed cat. Although commonly known as the saber-toothed tiger, it was not closely related to the tiger or other modern cats.Smilodon Fatalis (AKA The Common Saber-Toothed Cat) is a species of Extinct Big Cat that lived in The Pleistocene North and South America which is now living in The Savannas, Grasslands, forests and Tundras of Prehistoric Island, Isla Phanerozoica and The Prehistoric Underworld. The Smilodon Fatalis was also housed in the Pleistocene Enclosures in Ontario Zoo’s Prehistoric park, Drumheller Safari Dinosaur Kingdom, Crystal Palace Dinoland park and Prehistoric Wildlife Paradise Park as a famous attraction and public display towards the guests.
