The colors are great as always. I like how the pilings are a directional for the eye to enter the photo (wish there was something in the backgound-like me on a boat! Ha!) Great shot!

We have quite a few of these old piers / wharfs along the coastlines of Nova Scotia - old ship building centers and cargo destinations. What I like the most about this particular scene is how the leadings lines of the logs converge at the centre of the frame. There is a nice symmetry in the asymmetry

Thank you. You're right, I cropped it a little bit from the foreground there was not much interesting in there. I would loved to have a bigger boat somewhere in the picture.

I knew there was a reason I had to watch you. this is so good. love how the poles point to the water and horizon. the calmness of the water and the soft colors are very relaxing.

there is something about this that makes it really really good, i think its the way you have placed the camera paralell with the waters edge.
