Here is an autumnal photograph from VariskΓΆngΓ€s near Suomussalmi, Finland somewhere around here [link]This is a panoramic photograph stitched together from 8 vertical exposures. All of them taken with Canon 40D and Tokina 12-24mm.

As an image,
I like this very much.
But,
I must say that when pictures are stitched together,
I have a recurring problem
trying to imagine what the scene actually looks like.
Perhaps, because I have seen so many,
I can mentally compensate for
the fore-shortening that occurs with telephoto,
and with the potential distortion from wide angle.
In other words,
I can well visualize the "sense-of-place"
from the photographer's perspective.
This image is somewhat less problematical
than others I have seen.
However, I still find myself asking questions such as,
"Does that stream really make that 90 degree turn?
or, is it the result of 'flattening out' a 270 degree experience?"
This is undoubtedly more of a philosophical question,
but it's one which I think should be asked.

In this case it does that turn, even though the sense of the turn is emphasized by that downward waterfall

Actually every one can draw but not everyone wants to take the time to learn how. It really isn't a talent. It just comes with practice like any other skill. But you also have to be patient. Many people don't have the patients to draw.
I just have a lousy camera. So I like to draw and paint instead.
