Description
Hazel meets her future friend Hanna.
While this is the end of this short mini-series, I plan to make a page showing what happens next in the future.

I like Hanna's eyeglass frames in this comic. They seem to cover more of her eyes, than the ones she's seen wearing in the "Mountaintop Hike" or "Tech Support" pictures.
Also, I think Hanna's smiling expression in the fifth panel is really cute.

I made a few changes to her design, mostly just the eye shape & proportion. Noticeable changes I guess are more common with characters I don't draw enough haha.

Aah, the classic locker lock that bullies love to do in pop culture. I never suffered that, but just because I never went to a school with lockers big enough; otherwise, I think I would had spent a lot of time inside of them.
Good to see that their friendship started in such a humble way. Hazel been the way she is is titally palpable, but Im sure she can mellow down in time and effort.

Well its kinda one of the effects of already being a bit of an outcast. But on the plus side she did meet Hanna (who would eventually embarrass her but that's kinda how friends are)

Hazel in a number of ways is kinda a 'jab' at my own personality. A quiet outcast who often acts like they will fight back but when put in an actual situation they crumble. This highschool Hazel is largely how I was back in school, while I never got picked on (outside of angry glares when I set a Grading Curve ^-^) its largely the way I would react. I'd think in my head 'I could take this person' but good luck actually getting me to stand up for myself (back then)
So that's why she's dealing with this in this manner.
We all know later on she changes and becomes a little more aggressive and if the current Hazel was in this situation she wouldn't take no crap.
