Reposting of digital artWhen the Inspector called for a repair crew my gremlins techno fairies were only too happy to come to his aid. Glitch, Sparks, and Gremlin were all too eager to work on his TARDIS. Unfortunately it was just a normal truck. Well, it was before they were finished with it. Now it can properly transform into a proper robot. Of course there is the little matter about what to do with those spare parts that always seem to be left over. But surely they weren't too important....

Does that mean that when I start with an old C-47, a couple of my maintenance crew AND some techno fairies, I´ll eventually end up with a space craft?
Now THAT´s an idea to get the junk of the old Red Tails airfield, and it´s crew busy. The place is littered with wrecks after eh, certain events.
How do you attract techno gremlins... I mean, Fairies?
With chocolate covered screws? Metal plated icing? Preferably something MY maintenance crew doesn´t like... We don´t need a food frenzy over some sweets.
Red Tails can provide food and living space for the little ladies.
And the company of other nutters, should that be required...

You'll definitely end up with a new pile of spare / leftover parts.
As for a sparecraft, I wouldn't hold your breath. You might end up with a nice Pacific Rim style jaegar. Turning to attracting them, don't know. My group apparently wanted to take a break from the various Boeing plants in the area. Something about waiting until the heat died down.

The majority of the junk on the field isn´t airworthy, so a pile of leftover parts after dismembering an old bird isn´t going to hurt anybody.
Ending up with a Pacific Rim jaeger doesn´t sound too bad. It keeps the crews busy, Olina would approve that. (This lady is our CEO: Olina - Red Tails outfit
Boeing plants? Hmm, sounds like a day off to nearby Maastricht Airport. Asking for techno fairies willing to help re-modelling our aircraft.
They must know some cousins from Fokker (out of work) and Airbus (fed up working with Germans) We have nice birds to play with too.
Yes, I think a mixed maintenance crew could do the trick.

You might have better luck at the old Fokker plant, lots of tools, high tech, and space to play. The crew staying with me, insists they have a false reputation. They actually repair all the poor work humans tend to do, but instead they always get the blame when they haven't even started repairing it yet. It got so bad that just the sight of one eying a piece of work, results in humans tearing it apart and being extra careful when putting it back together. At least they get it right the 2nd or 3rd time.

Yes, I´ll send Red Tails Recovery Team to the former Fokker plant to see what we can "find and lend".
Recover every useful piece of tools and or equipment. Lorries, aircraft parts... (Forget that last line. please)
Didn´t want to pick up your crew, I know they´re devoted to you. Even when they repair your car beyond recognition...
They gave it a try, and hey - good intentions count!
Let´s give them a try at the local junkyard and make sure they "repair" found items.
When they break just chuck them on the pile, should the result be workable material praise them! It will cheer them up!
Your fairies ain´t THAT bad... I´ve known human mechanics who could not even archive fixing stuff in 3 or 4 turns!
A guy I knew (decades ago) could dissect an engine 4 times in a row and had 4 DIFFERENT part leftovers after every try.
As a result we forbade him to work on our cars... He never made it though his basic mechanical THEORY, let alone the practical part...

Yah, they would try to keep him from touching their latest inventions. You have to remember they were regular followers of Rube Goldberg. So sometimes their great invention, was just an overly complex method of flipping a pancake. But it was fun!
