I need to start drawing my characters looking younger, jesus.Omg wut?
Legend of Korra OC? Oh yes.
She's the granddaughter of my OC Xifeng, Meizhu, and resides in Republic City. When I was thinking about what to write here, I realized I can't really explain her story without writing War and Peace; so, haha, yeah for now just enjoy a character design. If you're really drawn to know more about her, you can message me. LOL
"But Magi, no one in Avatar has red hair! Yet you give both your OCs red hair!"
Yeah. I know no one else has red hair. It's all browns in the show. But you know what? It's very possible for someone to come across with red hair. Xifeng's red hair has a bit of purpose in her story, so it's not like I chose the color out of mere interest. LOL Blonde hair, on the other hand, I don't find it possible to have in the series. The blonde gene is a long evolved gene when humans started moving to colder climates. Red hair, on the other hand, is a genetic mutation. Therefor, Xifeng might be the very start of red haired genetics.
She's got a bit of Zuko going on. Lmao. The scars are from her brother, when they had a disagreement when they were younger and he accidentally burned her. She usually uses her scarf to hide her face when she's out in public, for she is rather self conscious about it.
...yeah. Enjoy. LOL

Meizhu looks pretty.^_^ How old is she? Hey, don't worry about giving her and her grandmother red hair. My A:TLA OC Sol (he's Yue's older brother so yes, it makes him the prince of the Northern Water Tribe) had white hair and green eyes when Aang, Sokka, and Katara are introduced to him. He was born like every other Northern Water Tribe native (black hair and blue eyes), but when Yue was born (since Yue was 16 when she died and Sol's two years older than her, he's 18) and the Moon Spirit blessed her with life, it cursed Sol's life. He began losing his eye sight and was developing slower. The Ocean Spirit blessed him with new eyes and good health, but he lost his black hair (it became white) and his ability to Waterbend suffered too. However, he made up for that by putting his less than superior Waterbending skills to good use by becoming a medic Waterbender and somewhat of a chi blocker. He ends up joining Team Avatar once Season 2 began. By the time A:TLA ended, Sol ended up with bi-colored eyes, his left (right) eye returned to his original blue while his right (left) eye remained green. As for his hair, once Yue gave up her life to save the Moon Spirit willingly, Sol gained a black streak in it and his Waterbending improved some in the offensive area. He also became the king of the Northern Water Tribe and married his childhood friend, Yuki (another A:TLA OC of mine). They ended up having four children, two boys and two girls.
So yeah, that's all I'm giving away about Sol until I put his mini bio together. And I just announced that I'm planning on making LOK OCs myself. Two of them are Sol and Yuki's grandchildren while the third one is a completely original LOK OC and is a Metalbender.

Here's the justification for red hair: Suki has auburn hair, or has some sort of natural red tint. I think it's very possible for redheads to show up in the show.

I share the feeling!! One day my characters will look young again! (Because right now they all start out older.)
She looks so pretty!! How come you make up neater looking characters than I do! XP Her clothing design is great! I love the wrapped layers! With the color control that is a wonderful touch. And the slight wave curl pattern is cute. How you did her hair is great too. Nice boots!
Alteast you think of realistic genetic reasons. (I did wonder why there were no blondes or red heads.) I usually just go with the elemental connections for eye and hair color. Heck even if they are black haired it will be a warm black for fire relations. Soil comes in so many colors and fire changes!
Plus I love using red to highlight browns and browns to shade reds, so why not?! And who rules out dirty blondes!
