Description
Nike – the Greek personification of Victory. She is depicted as winged and flying at great speed and is the constant companion of Athena. If my memory serves correctly, when Nike is depicted as standing still, victory is here to stay.Inspired by the Hellenistic sculpture Nike of Samothrace.
First in a possible series about Greek/Roman mythology…we’ll see if I actually continue it
It’s been a long time since I’ve done any painting… I think I need a little more practice.
