Description
This is the sorta final character design of one of the characters of my vis dev project in the works.

He's actually a Visayan datu (a Philippine term for a tribal chief) with some slight modifications on the clothing. His tattoos are based on Visayan tribal tattoos. The small portion of the tattoo on the top of the shoulders are based on a inscription on a Visayan sword (whose name I forgot).

For his design, I went for some sharp edges since he has tough personality and is protective of his people. I also went for red and yellow colors since they are most commonly found in datu clothing and gives off a royal feel.

** As someone pointed out on Twitter, Fernando is a Spanish name. Based on the original folk tale, it's his name but he's a king. I decided to change things up and make him a Visayan datu.
