So does it fade after a while when you wash it? or does it depend on like what kind of spray paint?

This is great...is there a particular type of spray paint you should be using to make it washing machine safe? Or are most spray paints alright?

No offense but this shouldntve gotten a DD, it's not very good, printer paper and tape, when you should use cardboard and spray adhesive.

That's really sweet. Can you use something more household that frisket for the stencil? I've done cardboard stencils w/ solid materials, but I'm not sure how it'd work for clothing. Thanks.

Hey thats really nice. I never really thought about doin anything that way. Seems too complicated. I stick to sharpies and fabric markers. I recently made my first piece. Its on in my gallery ^^

Great tutz man. I really like the rough spray look, even if you think it aint clean.
I've been trying to get that look really...I airbrush with stencils. If you really want clean edges you can use a SPRAY ADHESIVE to stick the stencil, but i'd love to talk more about getting the overspray look.
thanks

To be honest, this is probably the best tutorial I've ever read. Thanks to your awesome instructions, I feel inspired to whip out the spray paint and throw some graffiti on some plain clothing. Seriously! Thanks a bunch! I would've never known how to to it right if this wasn't featured! It really caught my attention.

I did a stack of black underwear for a biker club about 10 years ago. I had five different friskets for each color and part of the design. After experimentation I found that a stiple brush and fabric paint worked the best for the sharp line design areas. A few guys asked for white underwear with the club logo and a..well a brown stain patch..I used airbrush and fabric paint thinned with water for that little design part.

This is really excellent. Well done!! If a smaller image file could be made, it'd help a lot, but at any rate, the information is really useful!

pretty much any type of spray paint will work. just a 97cent can of paint from Wally-World will do. but to not destroy your other clothes in the wash, i'd handwash it.

not bad, I woulda allowed more coverage for over spray, to keep it sharper on black
[link] has a great tut for stenciling tees. Next time you spray using a paper template I'd sugguest instead of bombing it do it at a distance and layer it on so it can dry fast and allows the paper to stay dry.
what a funny idea you have here, create a tutorial off of your first try.. interesting..
