For all the cool looks we give these sorta thoughts of non-fire arm using soldiers with "updated" armor does anyone ever really sit down to think if it's that efficient as fighting gear?

I never thought of that! maybe I too should try to speed things up, without the constraints of attempted "perfection' slowing me down... But your point really makes sense.

scribble down an interesting silhouette in all black> make a mask out of it so that you don't effect the shape> play around with textures and custom brushes until a figure starts to emerge (like making shapes out of clouds)> make sure your lighting makes sense.
Done?
Something like that. I'll make a tutorial later on if it calls for it.
