An oak supposed to be about 1,000 years old. The Banz Monastery can be seen in the background.

Someone told me that the tree is dying which motivated me to take this shot. Maybe the oak will last for decades to come but you never know.

It is an often photographed motif especially from this vantage point. With evening light this is a logcal choice. I walked around the tree to find other possibilities but none was as attractive as this one.
