Thanks KeXu! I actually been considering changing the "lasers" before reading your commentary (I intended them to be some kind of chem or energy trail from the ships coming and going) to something dimmer and less colorful. I might see on to that when I get home.

1) Hope the resort didn't advertise their weather control system - could lead to lawsuits.
2) And of course its the technical apocalypse, and some are trying to catch a last few minutes on the beach. Literally if more lifeboats aren't coming in.

1) That is if there's anyone left to take legal actions.
2) Human nature is stubborn, they insist on buidling and investing on leisure on dangerous places (ask half the countries surrounding the Pacific)

Someone always survives to take legal action. The victim's families. they prop up some aged grandmother who breaks down in the court and before the jury, and next thing you know she's kicked off and lets millions of what use to be "Your" money to her cats.

Wow, was starting to close off, but this image really captured me. I suppose the volcano has a little texture to better show the resolution , but if the rest was painted, I am impressed

The concept is indeed a mix between an idyllic world and a doomsday )

I painted over textures for the mountain, indeed, so it has a bit of matte-painting in there. Same goes for the city lights and the waves. But It's not easy to compose it either . Glad you liked it!
