Alguns países se reuniram e criaram supergrupos para defesa de seus territórios, como por exemplo a Rússia e a China, que criaram o Protetorado Vermelho, reunindo superseres de seus países, como o Guardião Vermelho ou o Homem Coletivo.
Nos EUA muitos heróis, adolescentes na época que usavam mantos de outros heróis cresceram e assumiram novas identidades próprias, enquanto outros saíram da aposentadoria e estão retornando para enfrentar novas ameaças, como é o caso do

Capitão América.

Steve Rogers se casou e vivia no Bronx, evitando ao máximo se envolver nos problemas alheios, mas quando conheceu uma jovem chamada Alejandra Guadalupe, que tentava ajudar seu irmão a se afastar de uma gangue, o antigo herói descobriu o renascimento de uma antiga organização terrorista, como também o surgimento de uma nova versão de um antigo inimigo.
