Soo .... Did you know that the creator of Pokemon was a big fan of Urusei Yatsura.
Pikachu is based off of Lum.

many of the original Pokemon battle attacks come from Urusei Yatsura. like Ten-chan being able to breath Fire.
when Mr. Fujinami Yells -I love the sea- and a water wave comes. some water Pokemon where given this attack.
even when Shiowatari Nagisa uses sumo wrestling.
Now I only know these things cause I read it in the comments when I was watching Urusei Yatsura.
I am no Pokemon expert or even a big fan I just really like Rumiko Takahashi's Manga and Anime. and I try to watch and read as many of her works I can.

they should team up more. Lum is used as a mascot for electricity safety in Japan so teaming her with Pikachu makes sense and boots both of their popularity
