I'm not gonna thank Paramount for the redesign, they actually wanted the more realistic looking monstrosity we almost had, instead, I'm giving all the credit the everyone working on the film for knowing that that realistic look won't sit well with fans and audiences alike, and also giving the redesign job to Tyson Hesse who helped with Sonic Mania

Not all of you may know this, but movie Sonic had a patch of white fur between his eyes as if to make it look like his eyes are connected. Thought that’s a cool attention to detail.
