we have like exactly two pics of a daemon prince Lorgar, both by the same artist and drawn many many years ago. for whatever reason he hasn't gotten much focus.

I always loved Lorgar's transformation. That he wasn't crazy. Or stupid. And that as he went from weak to strong, he was humble about it. Paternal. He was living for a greater cause.

He genuinely believed that he was doing what he did for the good of humanity, that the only way to shelter us from Chaos was to join it. And he did it all with a genuine care for his brothers, like Angron.

Certainly one of my favorite characters from the Heresy storyline, thanks in no small part to Aaron D-B. Once again he gave incredible depth to a guy whom many others would just brush off as a two-dimensional religious extremist archetype.

thanks. my initial concept for this shot actually had less blue, or the blue was supposed to be rather desaturated, but i guess you can't avoid having a lot of blue when half the shot is dead dudes in cobalt armor.
