i find the game itself rather boring, i'm just a great fan of the miniatures, art and supplementary material - i've already poured hundreds into the Horus Heresy series.

look the first thing everyone has to understand is that i don't make a great deal of this stuff from scratch. i've done certain things entirely myself but this particular guy is originally a port from Warhammer 40k: Regicide but very heavily modified.
the original asset was a basic loyalist Space Marine, and i've modeled all the Chaos details (trims, eye symbols, pointy stuff, arrows) and modified the textures to make him all evil. I did the cape and other fabrics from scratch and the helmets are approx. 75% my own modeling and textures. it would be difficult to break the whole thing down right here but you get the idea. i've gathered my 100 or at least 95% homemade models into a separate gallery folder.
i base my things on ported stuff to save time and maintain a certain art style - it's not like i wouldnt have the skill to do it all myself of course
i use the archaic Milkshape as my main modeling tool and 3DS Max for porting. i also have an assortment of other programs for doing textures and converting to Source
