NOTES:
- As with most engines, Donald has had many different crews over the years. Notably, these include:
- Old Crew: Mac (Driver) & Donn (Stoker)
- Main Crew: Neil (Driver) & Vanessa (Stoker)
- Alt. Crew: Candice 'Candy' (Driver) & Johnny (Stoker)
- Back in Scotland, Donald & his twin Douglas didn't bear names, as they were designated as goods engines. When the two 'lost their numbers', Donald named himself after his old Stoker, Donn, to differentiate from his twin.
- The Caledonian Railway notably didn't name any of its Goods Engines, an old holdover from the early days of steam where engines only bore titles.
- Donald and Douglas are rarely seen wearing the same livery. More often than not, Donald is seen in NWR Blue.
