This makes me wish there were more forest-ish areas where I live for hiking purposes. Love the colours and textures. I could see this being chosen as a good camping area, if there is a chilly breeze that the partial walls can block, allowing for a warm fire overnight.

That's too bad! I mean, we feel the same way, but it's not really surprising. Coming from BC, we're used to being almost literally surrounded by forest, whereas England only really has a few trees planted on streets or little groves in the countryside for the most part - it has history, but not much wilderness :b
Yeah, I'm better the ruins wouldn't make too bad a camping spot, either. That actually seems really cool o_o I'd want to camp where I could see the passages down/inside, though, because I'd be paranoid about monsters coming up and out of them at night XD

The beaches sound lovely I was fairly lucky growing up in the Vancouver area, I think - have easy access to the ocean, to lakes, to rivers, to wetlands, to forest, to mountains. The only things missing are desert and old castle/ruins/buildings :b (although technically, there are some "old" ghost towns around, and a semi-arid "desert" region 4 hours inland...)
It's funny, maybe it's sort of a primeval thing, but most of my guy friends are usually pretty aware of any exits, entrances, and possible "threats" at any given moment. Growing up sort of a tomboy with mostly male friends, I have a bit of this, too, although not quite as second nature

Oooh, sounds like you have a delightful variety of environments to choose from!
Yeah, I know that feeling. Tomboy to the end, m'self, and I do tend to have an awareness of escape routes, trap-areas, and potential threats wherever I go. It's so second nature to me, that I'm not always consciously aware of it, until I need it.

Well, there are a few ruins visited in LotR, but more specifically, I couldn't say!

very small ruins. the only things you'll in these are probably a chest or junk. and maybe a monster.

Well, this isn't the entirety of the ruins, but yeah I guess X3 Maybe it's mostly underground?
