Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms , a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.This guy was inspired by a stock photo I took a while back, actually, fondly known as "Gorilla Rock"

I get the sense that an adventurer could sit on an inactive Earth Golem, and not even realize it.

I think this guy is my favorite out of the series, or at least tied with spirit panther.
He has such a unique look. I cant tell if the crooked tree truck is his clawed hand or his tongue. (originally thought hand but the more I look it turns into a tongue.

Thank you very much!Β The crooked tree trunk was intended to be his arm, something a bit more flexible he could grab or manipulate stuff with (or maybe he uses it to "root" and channel his will into the nearby natural environment or something *shrugs*).

Haha, I'm not sure if stealthy is quite the word, as his actual form is quite noticeable and apparent.Β He is, however, very camoflauged!Β It's not necessarily clear he's a creature, however, until a closer inspection.
... Rather unrelated, but it reminds me of how foxes will sometimes bait their prey to come in and investigate by rolling around madly in the open :V
