Y'know. Ties... That's what happens to all canines when they mate... They get stuck together, and it's called a tie

You're very sweet. But trust me, it doesn't. 
I've always envied artists who can make a quick sketch of something without a reference, and have it come out all good. I'm usually reasonably pleased with my end results, but the amount of work it takes to get there sometimes is ridiculous. (i.e. the link in my sig which I've been working on for eight months and still isn't finished.

Actually, for my commissions, I usually require references. People tend to get picky about how they want their drawing - yeah? And you want it to be photorealistic, you say? Well, then get me a picture showing me exactly how you want it.
I still tend to rely on references, which sucks.

I can't even imagine being able to draw without a reference.
LOL, I freakin' love Post-it notes, I draw on them all the time at work. I have like sheets of paper covered in post-its with little drawings on them.
