And yes, that thing eats mom's flowers and has very strong jaws, dangerous for cats and for mom's toes.
For real, once it came a few inches close to my bare feet, it is very impudent

My cats are not as lucky as Salem, they are indoors cats.
We only have red squirrels and chipmunks, no grey squirrels who live in town, generally.

I found it for the vegetable garden at least, (after many disasters and my garden is huge!) a wire fence with barb wire...
But you imagine my flowers surrounded like that? So I lose many of them.
