This is another tangent I went off on just scribbling last week. There were probably a number of things that inspired this - Punch/Counterpunch, Longarm Prime/Shockwave, etc. - but here the idea I had was Bumblebee essentially impersonating Optimus Prime. I think it came out of some of the forum discussions I'd seen lately contending with how there's too much of Bumblebee and Optimus in the TF franchise lately, and yet there were still just as many fans to this day still appalled at the prospect of Optimus being killed off yet again. So there was a touch of a smartassery involved here, imagining a TF saga in which the question of Optimus Prime's fate is no longer relevant because he'd already be dead to begin with...hence, "Optibee".

And yes, this obviously required Bumblebee to get a size upgrade, so I made him a SUV of a futuristic type, thus to mask the improbability of said transformation from say, a compact or Camaro to a Freightliner. It would also make Bumblebee significantly older. And speaking of "masking" things, that took this thing off onto another tangent, but more on that later...
