More retro-styled Superman notebook drawings, this time of Star Labs.

Once again, I drew inspiration from Fritz Lang's "Metropolis", in this case from the crazed inventor Rotwang's forgotten shack. Obviously this take isn't quite so shacky, but I kind of went into the vein of it being this once-proud scientific establishment that has since become forgotten and overlooked thanks to the omniscient presence of Lexco, right down to the fact that zoning laws have been passed enabling taller buildings and el-trains to obstruct the view from the observatory dome (itself a nod to S:TM).

However, the same incredibly-low profile would also be ideal for providing scientific insight for a certain last son of Krypton - with the financial help of donations from a certain great metropolitan newspaper whose financial surplus is due to sold-out printings of every edition that prominently features said last son of Krypton...
