Entry for cheepers ' MYO Fluke Contest. I couldn't resist, considering how much I adore tiny things.

You know those shells you find on the beach that have tiny, perfect little holes seemingly drilled into them? Shell Poker's job is to create those little holes with their little pokey claws, and then leave them for lucky travelers to find and make pretty jewelery out of (or whatever). UvU

Shell Poker's eyes never open, and that's why the holes are never in the same spot in the shells - Poker just wanders around until their tiny, sand piper-like toe hits a shell that's perfect for poking.

They're about as tall as your thumb, and their claws are as sharp and thin as a sewing needle - how cute!
