The only thing I do a lot of is layer things together.
I use Photoshop Elements and open a few different works
I have and see how they look together with different blending modes.
I have made thousands of fractals and so are really not so good
alone but when I layer them they look alive.
Andrew, to answer your earlier message...I could not at the time.
I share some of the same feelings as you with the way things are going.
I do not watch the media any more. I think they only represent the
owners of their companies and their political views.
I know this will not go on for very much longer as it is now.
Life is always filled with change so I'll wait and see how it turns out.
It keeps me from the gun.

Thanks Joe, 4 your insights. So you mostly layer? Well, you're good, cause many don't look layered at all. Actually, I was joking with that post, looking for "gardening tips", since if you look at my image, some of the "foliage" is kinda semi dead looking (intentionally), or not looking too healthy at any rate. The kind of garden The Munsters would be raising.
As far as winds of change in media, I hope so, man. We had a lot of dissenting views in media in the 60s/70s, but then that gave way to the corporate conservatism of the 80s. Which I think never left and layed the pavement leading to today. I'm still sensitive to media (I would like otherwise to be able to turn it off more), since as a musician, the (many times) sub-standard pop 'culture' that is being rammed through media channels ad nauseum is being determined by too small a number of people. And I firmly believe that it is hindering too many other artists from having more of a chance to reach their potential audience {yes and humbly including myself}.

I am also a musician but not doing
so much of it now.
I just keep listening to the ones I have always
loved and I still buy their CD's when they
come out with new ones.
With my art, I never have a plan.
I open a program and play like a kid with a toy.
I love to work with colors.
Sometimes the design is so simple but the colors always
do it for me. Also I like to play with light and shading.
