Description I did this for my Artistic License column, and it later found a second career in newspapers when they were reporting the "new" Batwoman character, a few years back. I have a copy of the UK Metro www.metro.co.uk from May 30, 2006. I got a request to use it from another paper, in Florida, I think, but they didn't have the common decency to mail me a copy. Pricks!

I was more surprised when a newspaper wanted to use it in an article, when DC announced the new Batwoman.

Very awesome!  I wish the new Batwoman costume would have some resemblance of this one!

I must say you have done a real good job on this pic. I like the retro look and I wish the creators would have used it more.

Great job and I hope to see more of your work ^_^

My style is pretty retro, so that's just how things come out. I have issues with the design aesthetics used in a lot of comics and movies, these days. You can see fan-made costumes that are practical and wearable, but some of these designs require magic to make them work. The current Supergirl costume is a perfect example. I've only seen one girl who made those boots work, and they had to be attached to hose.
