Description
This is part of a series of maps that I made to represent the continents of the conworld I had for this series I'm planning. I withheld placing any vegetation until I had the currents flow of the planet mapped out, which won't be doable until I finish drawing all the continents and figured out how to place the continents satisfactorily on the planet.

Premise of the conworld

The planet, tentatively called F66, is a colony world settled by human space travelers in the distant future. However, missions funded by the homeworld came to a standstill due to a political upheaval, and the colonists were left to fend for themselves.

This was before the colonists could develop factories to manufacture all but the most basic technologies. Squabbles between the colonists had left many of their original technology unusable or destroyed. However, an intrepid bookworm had brought a huge collection of books, many of which were way older and contained information on technologies that they were more or less able to replicate.

They managed to print out a few of those books and built their technology back up from there. Conflict eventually slowed down their progress, and after 500 years, the colonists have devolved into 5 or 6 sovereign states with the technological development close to that of the late 1990s.

The cultures of the world are blends of real-life cultures of the 20th-early 21st Centuries, altered to suit their environment. Place names are often taken from literary theory and concepts or famous writers or, occasionally, bad puns.

The story that takes place here is an affectionate reconstructive parody of the hero's journey with a lame title: Sweatshirt Brigade.

About F66

The planet is earthlike and revolves around a yellow dwarf. Despite its general dormant tectonic activity it has a stable magnetic field. It is covered by oceans.

F66, hitherto lifeless, was terraformed by humans, who finished the job 500 years prior. The humans wanted to colonize the planet as a future home and source of resources, but ended up stuck there.

About Jejima

Jejima is among the continents occupied by a single state. Specifically, it's one of two continents under the sovereignty of the United Federation. Jejima is a recent member of the United Federation, having been dominated by two rival states that share a common language.

The islands of Niccolo (right) and Belisario (far right) have hitherto been composed of separate nations themselves and are now part of the Federation. Belisario is administered as a single unit while Niccolo is separately administered as three units.
