Description It's not laughing matter shooting at F/1.4. Believe me. This shot to me was very challenging and I still find it to be quite a wierd photo.

A lot of areas are soft due to the huge lens opening and with the close up it gets crazier with hands, hair, body, background coming in and out of focus. Some people may not like the focus. I find it a learning excercise. The grain is so pretty.

Dedicated to =Aj07 who named me 2nd best photographer in the online UAE dA community (yeah right). She said she liked my B/W and here's one just for you. Hope you enjoy it

I have a Canon 50mm f/1.4 and I agree, using 1.4 is challenging. Even when you get the focus spot on it's not as sharp as if you stop down a bit. Still, I like what you've done with it, the tones and the grain are really pretty. Love her look as well!

Sharpness was definitely a problem. Even with AF it was hunting on certain angles.

Me is happy that you like the grain. I love it! Thanks again

I really love the very low depht of field. This creates a wonderful mood that matches the b&w very well

I like this one a lot. And you're right. The grain is so pretty. I'm particularly fond of that expression on her face as well as how her hands are resting so comfortably... or at least I think so. She looks...

relaxed
and full of lust.

A comfortable combination.
A good capture.

I'm glad you like it. I get the feeling people are intimidated by how wierd it looks. Hell I am haha
