Hm this is exactly as how I would see Taiga if she actually grew a little instead of staying a short little copy of Louise from Zero no Tsukaima(sp). . . . . Yeah she does look older. I prefer your version/artstyle rather than the anime ^^

I really like the way you've rendered the folds - it reminds me of JayAxer and Sandfreak, even Ippus a little bit, in terms of the style of colouring. However, I do have some critique for you - the way you've done the folds, though lovely, doesn't match the skin and hair, more so on the skin. If you're going to take your rendering up a notch on the clothes you need to do the same with the rest or it'll look really disjointed. Another thing; even though I love the fold on the skirt and the fabric falls very realistically, it wouldn't behave that way on a pleated skirt, unless it was VERY thin material. If you wanted to use that fold, it would have been better to make the line art reflect it-notice how the lines of the pleats fall straight but the fold is so 3D.
Based on your gallery, I can tell you have alot of potential as a digital painter, so keep working on your rendering as you are, it's looking great! I hope I was helpful to you. 8D;;
