Description
First piece of a major personal project, i will not yet tell too much about.
Depicting Satan, visiting Genghis Khan like he did with Jesus Christ and promising him the world. Genghis Khan accept, thus making him the greatest conqueror in human history.
The Khan and the Horselord
''Who am i you ask'' The hooded stranger grinned. ''I am a wanderer, searching lands beyond hidden borders for the most capable souls who have the capability and will to wield great power. Only two worthy men i visited, one in Nazareth, and the other one is you, Temujin, conqueror of Mongolia.'' The Devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Feeling presence greater than Temujin knew he was capable to either fight or achieve on his own, he knelt befor the fallen angel, and looked upwards. The Devils grin broadened. ''Arise, chosen one. Arise as Genghis Khan, and make the world tremble!''

I doubt he was read-headed. Where does this come from? We have pictures of Genghis Khan made long ago where he is black haired, but this bullshit about read-haired Temujin came only recently. There is no actual proof of that. It it ridiculous. Temujin was black-haired.

Nice piece and background story. Especially since Temujin, accepting the offer, won the world but couldn't hold onto it (his successors soon enough failed, leaving no Mongol heritage behind). While Jesus rejected the offer, only to have his religion take over the Roman Empire from within and hold onto it (Constantinople was still Christian one and a half millennium later). Double-layered meaning, and more insidious than it seems at first glance.

Descendents, I meant descendents. The mongols tried to push further into the Middle East and were defeated by Baibars and his Mamluk forces. Admittedly, going into the details make it seem less impressive but, hay, they still beat the Mongols.
