Description Her hair color and clothes design here come from the very first illustration in the first Slayers novel. I think it's fascinating how characters can go through complete makeovers between the beginning of a manga and later books. Lina goes through several outfit changes before the pink and yellow outfit she wears in the anime (one is the red pants and cream-colored shirt she wears in the OVAs).

I had some trouble with the anatomy. I made her torso too long -- not generally, but for an imitation of Araizumi's style. And her head is too big. There's some sort of other imbalance in her torso or shoulders, but I'm having trouble putting my finger on it -- if somebody sees exactly what I did wrong, could you point it out?

Slayers belongs to Hajime Kanzaka; the art for Slayers belongs to Rui Araizumi

I think Lina's elbow is sticking out a little to far with the hand that is releasing the spell and with that same arm the shoulder is coming off from too far forward. Those are the anatomical problems that I noticed when I went through the trouble of looking for them.
I like this outfit, and you are right, Lina goes through several costumes in the novels but wears basically the same thing in the TV show (her shoulder guards change, her boots and gloves get little gems, and the color of her boots changes, but that's all I can think of aside from the obvious Demon's Blood Talismans).
I like the pose in the picture and the attention given to the outfit.

Thank you so much for pointing out what was wrong! And thanks for the compliments, too.
I think I see what you mean -- I should try re-doing it, maybe.
