Starting 2021 with a bit of Star Wars in the form of another alternative movie poster. This time: what if we had a movie or TV series about Yoda's path to becoming a jedi?

I grew up with the original trilogy and apart from them, I only had snippets of information about how the Star Wars universe worked, mostly from demos of games like Jedi Knight: Dark forces 2. So before the prequels came, I had the impression that each jedi was trained in a unique way and that it was an extremely personal journey for them - rather than the institutionalized and rigid education we see in the prequels, with the Jedi temple, the younglings and everything. I saw the jedi as more mysterious people that weren't organized and acted more independent from each other - like more heroic versions of the wandering ronin in movies like Yojimbo (though I hadn't seen that movie back then).

So I guess this painting was more inspired by my original perception of the jedi - and the thought of how cool it would be to have a Kurosawa-like movie, but with Yoda (yes, I know George Lucas was inspired by Kurosawa, but you know what I mean).
