Description This experiment examines combining "UltraScatter Advanced Instancing for Daz Studio" and "Look At My Hair" in DAZ Studio and Iray.  I had to convert the LAMH fur to an object and then I could use UltraScatter to generate 40 Gambian Sun Squirrel's. No post work. 30 min render

Gambian Sun Squirrel's do look a lot like lemurs

Squirrels with lemur tails?
That's quite an invasion force...

I had never heard of a Gambian Sun Squirrel until I saw the model in the "Rodents by AM: Squirrels of Eastern Hemisphere" presets.  They are so cute. I'm just happy they work with UltraScatter and it can create a lot of fuzzy invaders

Cute animals seem to constitute a nightmare in big numbers

Something about being heavily outnumbered is always disturbing, even if they are fluffy

Can never have too many squirrels (except in your house)!

Thank you, I gad to see if my machine could handle all those squirrels and hair.  UltraScatter  made it so simple and it rendered faster than I expected.

So what is a group of squirrels called? Like ....... pack of wolves, a murder of crows, a gaggle of geese, a herd of cows................... A Palooza of squirrels ?

Love this image and the foliage and ground vegetation really sets the image off !!

This is funny, interesting experimant and funny result, it would have been cool if they could assume different poses but with instancing that is unfortunately not possible

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoePingleton In reply to Linwelly [2017-09-09 18:17:54 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, I would normally be able to get some variety in poses with ultrascatter, but I have never been able to include two different characters with LAMH in one scene without post work.  Maybe after playing some more I can find a solution

Thank you for the kind words
I only rendered it to 500 iterations at this size.  I also couldn't get it to work with "LAMH 2 Iray Catalyzer"  so I had to go back to the original LAMH
