Thats amazing that you could do that traditionally! The lighting is perfect, and the choice of color really catches the eye.

Thanks For most of my paintings of faces, I play around with an image in photoshop until I get something that looks cool and then I use that as a reference. I've got a few more references that I think are going to make really cool paintings.

This is such an attractive painting. the colours are so lively ..i wish you would consider making a small toturial showing how you progress with this style

I've really been meaning to make a tutorial of one of my paintings, I just get too involved in them that I forget to take pictures along the way. I will probably do a tutorial for landscapes and one for portraits for my art classes, so when I do I'll post them.

The next time I do a painting like this one I'll try to remember to take pictures along the way Or maybe I could even just do a tutorial for eyes... that's the focal point of most of my paintings anyway.

Thanks for the comments... I basically just play around with the colour balance and then overexpose it to get the look I want for a reference.
