Description J.C. the Hybrid's Origin Chapter Three

J.C. just walked out of a bowling alley. He was stretching his arms and legs.

J.C.: That was one heck of a bowling game. Well, time to head home.

J.C. started flying. He looked around town, seeing how beautiful it was. He smiles. His family has started a good life here. He tried to think back of all the memories he had as a human, but he barely remembered them. He shrugs and keeps flying.

J.C.: It sure is peaceful. I can't believe Mom and Dad have started their own business. I can only imagine how many humans and mobians will be happy with their new robotic limbs.

Suddenly, J.C. sees smoke coming from the trees.

J.C.: What the...?

(J.C. flies towards where the smoke was coming from, and his eyes widened in horror)

J.C.: By the Angels of Heaven...

J.C. sees a church and it was on fire. He couldn't believe it. Ironically, the church was actually one of the churches his parents built.

J.C.: The church is on fire! I got to find help!

Suddenly, J.C. hears screaming. It was coming from inside the church.

J.C.: Hello? Is anyone in there?!

Voce: HELP!

J.C.: I should call for the fire department, but there's no time. If someone's trapped in there, they won't make it out of building before help arrives.

J.C. runs into the building. He had his hand over his mouth and was looking around for anyone trapped inside.

J.C.: Hello?!

(J.C. hears someone yelling)

J.C.: Got to move!

J.C. runs through the burning building. He kept searching through the area until he reaches a door. He listens through it and hears some screaming and crying from behind it. Assuming that was where the noise was coming from, J.C. kicks the door open and sees a group of kids.

J.C.: Come with me, if you all want to live.

The kids follow J.C. towards the exit. Just then, some of the building blocked the exit. J.C. managed to save them from being crushed. He then leads the kids to the entrance of the church.

J.C.: Everyone, outside!

The kids ran out of the church just in the nick of time. Just as J.C. was about to follow them, burning wood from the church fell and blocked the entrance. J.C. was trapped. He tries to move the wood, but it was too hot. He then noticed the ceiling was about to break and the roof was about to cave in. As the roof caved in and ceiling fell onto J.C., he closes his eyes and said two words.

J.C.: Have mercy.

After the fire, the fire department showed up and began to put out the flames. One of the firefighters was a white male polar bear with light brown eyes and wearing a black and blue cap, dark blue shirt with an iceberg on it, blue and yellow green fireman coat, blue jeans, dark blue gloves and dark blue and white shoes. His name was Bear and he was one of J.C. brothers.

Bear: Man, I can't believe this church was on fire.

The kids were talking to some paramedics about what happened. One of them was an orange and white male cat with light blue eyes and wearing a white shirt with a red cross on it, dark blue pants, dark blue paramedic jacket, white gloves and white shoes. He also had orange hair. His name was Murray and he's another one of J.C.'s brothers.

Murray: So, someone helped all of you get out of the church. Who was he?

Just then a police car shows up by the church. The door opens and out walks a light orange and white male cat with navy blue eyes. He also had dark orange hair and was wearing a blue police jacket, black police shirt, black SWAT cap, black and blue gloves, blue jeans, black shoes. His name was Pumpkin Kitty, but the family calls him P.K. for short. He's also one of J.C.'s brothers.

P.K.: Well, this is the place.

P.K. walks towards the burned down church and sees his brothers.

P.K.: Bear? Murray?

Murray: Oh, hey, P.K. Glad to see you here.

Bear: Same here. So, you got the call, too, huh?

P.K.: Yeah. I heard one of the churches our family built got burned down.

Bear: It did. There was a group of kids trapped in there, too.

Murray: Someone saved them, fortunately.

P.K.: Who?

Murray: That's what we're trying to figure out.

After the fire was put out, Bear went over to the fire truck and grabs a fire axe. He then uses it to break through the wood. P.K. and Murray walked over to Bear as he was moving some of the debris. As Bear moves the last piece of wood out of the way, he looks down and was shocked at what he saw.

Bear: It can't be!

Murray: What's wrong, Bear?

Bear: Guys... you're not going to believe what I'm seeing right now.

P.K.: What is it?

They both walk towards Bear and a look of horror came into their eyes. It was J.C., their brother. He was lying on the ground. He had burns on his right arm and left leg. His right eye was damaged as well. The three boys were heartbroken at what they saw.

All: J.C.?!

(Murray checks J.C. pulse)

Murray: He's still breathing! Help me get him on a stretcher!

P.K. ran to the ambulance and grabs a stretcher. Murray and Bear then lifts J.C. onto it, then Murray and Bear carries J.C. to the ambulance.

Murray: I'll get J.C. to the hospital. P.K., call Mom and Dad.

P.K.: You got it.

Bear: You guys go ahead. I'll finish things here.

P.K. went to his police car and takes out his phone. He then calls Barbara and John.

Barbara: (phone) Hello?

P.K.: Hey, Mom?

Barbara: (phone) Oh, hey, glad you called.

P.K.: Thanks.

Barbara: (phone) Why are you calling?

P.K.: It's about J.C., Mom. He's been an accident.

Barbara: (phone) What? When?

P.K.: One of the churches you built got burned down and J.C. didn't make it out in time. Can you put Dad on the phone as well?

Barbara: (phone) Hang on a second...

(John answers the phone next)

John: (phone) Hello?

P.K.: Hey, Dad. J.C. is being transferred to the hospital by Murray.

John: (phone) What happened to him?

P.K.: There was a fire in one of the churches you built and long story short, J.C. didn't make it out after saving a group of kids trapped in there.

John: (phone) Oh, no...

P.K.: Murray is taking him to the hospital now. Bear and I are going to be joining him as soon as we're done here.

John: (phone) We'll be there soon.

P.K.: Okay. See you there.

John: (phone) Thanks for calling us.

(P.K. hangs up)

P.K.: You coming, Bear?

Bear: Yeah, I'm right behind you. I'm done working, anyway.

(P.K. gets into his car while Bear hops onto the fire truck and drives off)

Later that day, there was a group of cars outside the hospital. Another car pulls up into the parking lot. The car doors open and out walks Barbara and John.

John: Well, here it is.

Barbara: No turning back now.

(Barbara and John walked towards the hospital entrance)

Inside the hospital, everyone in J.C.'s family has arrived and are surrounding the hospital bed. J.C. was lying in a bed with an oxygen mask over his mouth. He had a scar over his right eye and his left leg and right arm were gone. There were bandages over the burned off limbs.

John: I can't believe what happened to him.

Barbara: Murray, how did J.C. end up like this?

Murray: Well, since everyone in the family is here, I might as well explain what happened. Here's what I found out: J.C. saw a group of kids trapped in a burning church. Ironically, it was one of the churches we built.

(The others were shocked at this)

Murray: J.C. was saving the kids from the burning building, but unfortunately, he didn't make it out in time. Bear, P.K. and I found him buried under the church. He's lucky to be alive, but he lost an arm, leg and an eye.

Everyone in the family was heartbroken when they heard what Murray was telling them. J.C. was lying in bed with half his limbs gone because of a church fire. Everyone gathered together and left flowers for him, along with cards and a picture of the entire family. They also left a necklace on the counter. Soon, most of the family left the room, until only Barbara John and Suki were left.

Barbara: We should go. It's getting late.

John: What about J.C.?

Barbara: The doctor said we can pick him up tomorrow.

John: Okay. I just hope he'll feel better.

(Barbara and John were about to leave when Suki walks towards J.C.)

Suki: J.C., my brother.

Suki looks at J.C. and places a hand on his forehead. He slowly pets him.

Suki: Out of all my siblings, you've always showed a lot of love to me.

(Barbara and John looks at them)

Suki: When I heard about what happened to you, I was shattered. I never told the others this, but I've been feeling close to you. J.C., I love you. I've always loved you for a long time.

(Barbara and John smiles as they listened to what Suki was telling J.C. about how close she is to him)

Suki: Here, I wanted to give this to you as a birthday present, but I figured this would be a good a time as any.

Suki reaches into her pocket and takes out a necklace. She then sets it on the table next to the bed.

Barbara: What is that, Suki?

Suki: It's a necklace I made for J.C., and I was going to surprise him with it.

John: That's sweet of you.

Suki: Yeah...

The necklace opens, revealing writing and a picture in it. The writing said, "We love you, J.C. the Hybrid" and the picture was J.C. and his entire family.

Suki: Let's go.

Barbara and John: Right behind you.

(The three of them walk out of the door)

J.C. was asleep. The heart monitor was beeping, and he was breathing slowly. Suddenly, a light appeared in the room, and someone came down from it. A man in white clothes appeared from the light and walks towards J.C.

Man: Don't worry, your journey's not over yet, J.C. the Hybrid.
