Chase through the underground tunnels

Sonic, Tails and Dr. Eggman were inside the underground tunnels of New Stations Square.

Tails: Gentlemen, welcome to the underground tunnels.

Sonic: Wow, Tails! When did the people of Station Square and Knothole set these up?

Tails: You'd be impressed on how much spare time we had since Eggman got locked away and you were out looking for Sally.

Sonic: You mean during that five year search for Sally, you, Rotor and countless other mobians were building these underground tunnels?

Tails: Yep. We even installed traps, just in case of trouble.

Sonic: I see.

(Sonic and Tails looked at Eggman)

Sonic: Alright, Egg-Face. Now that we're alone, tell me where Sally is.

Eggman: Who, that chipmunk?

(Sonic grabs Eggman and slams him against a wall)

Sonic: Don't get me in a bad mood, Egg-Head. I was brought out of retirement, took down five mobians and broke you out of prison. I did all this just to find out where Sally is. *Sonic pulls out his desert eagle and points it at Eggman's head* Now, talk! Or I'll smoke you right here.

Eggman: Okay, okay. Sorry to tell you this, Sonic, but... she's dead.

Sonic: What now?

Eggman: I said I kidnapped her just to mess with you.

Sonic: No...

Eggman: Yeah, you should have seen your face when you were heartbroken.

Tails: That was cold, even for you, Eggman.

(Sonic lets go of Eggman and puts his desert eagle away)

Sonic: What happened to her?

Eggman: A group of robots found her in the ruins of my base. She must have been trying to escape and didn't make it out in time.

Sonic: Poor Sally... I need to find the guy who set me up.

Eggman: Then, both of you will need my help. Besides, I'd like to meet my liberator as well.

Tails: Then, let's go.

The group began walking through the underground tunnels until they saw Knuckles, digging with the Shovel Claws.

Tails: Knuckles, is that you?

Knuckles: Hey, guys. How's the mission going?

(Sonic grabs Knuckles' eye patch and pulls it back)

Sonic: You one-eyed echidna! YOU SET ME UP!

Knuckles: What?! I would never do that!

Sonic: Then, why are the zone cops after me?!

Knuckles: I don't know any better than you.

(Sonic signs and lets go of Knuckles' eye patch)

Knuckles: Isn't that Eggman?

Tails: It is. Sonic was hired to break him out of prison.

Knuckles: Oh. Guess I know why Sonic was mad.

Sonic: You said you knew the boss, right?

Knuckles: Yeah. If you want, I could take you to him.

Sonic: Alright. But, if you turn your back on me and Tails, you're going to lose another eye.

(Knuckles swallows)

Suddenly, there was an explosion.

Sonic: Sounds like Zonic is still after us.

Knuckles: Zonic?! Oh, no! I heard about the rumors of him being brought back to life in cybernetics. He's the first ever cyborg zone cop. Let's get out of here!

Tails: Follow me. I have a map of the underground tunnels, so I know its shortcuts, traps and pathways.

Sonic: Then, let's move.

The four became running through the underground tunnels while Zonic was hot on their trail. Suddenly, they arrived at a waterfall.

Tails: Whoops. Wrong way.

Sonic: Quick, go back.

(The group looks back to see Zonic standing in front of them)

Zonic: Stop right there, the three of you.

Sonic: You mean, the four of us?

Tails: Uh... Knuckles made a jump off the waterfall.

Sonic: What?

(Sonic looks to see Knuckles falling into the water)

Knuckles: EVERY MOBIAN FOR HIMSELF!

Sonic: Great.

Sonic, Tails and Eggman had their hands up.

Sonic: Zonic, you know me as much as the next zone cop. I'm innocent.

Zonic: I don't care.

Tails: Sonic, jump. I got an idea.

Sonic nods and falls backwards into the waterfall.

Zonic: You're coming with me.

Tails pulls out a switch, hits the red button and Zonic is flattened by a steel wall called, "THE CRUSHINATOR".

Tails: (chuckles) Sweet. I always wanted to use that thing.

Knuckles was sitting by the waterfall when Sonic fell into the water. Sonic jumps out and shakes himself off.

Sonic: Well, that was close.

Knuckles: No kidding.

(Tails flew down)

Tails: I never thought I say this, but Eggman's got us covered.

Sonic: Where is Eggman?

Tails: Three... Two... One...

(Eggman yells and falls into the ground, missing the waterfall)

Eggman: OW! Missed it by that much!

Knuckles: Couldn't you just fly him down?

Tails: I warned him.

Sonic: Let's go home, boys.

Eggman: (grunts in pain) I think I broke my legs.

The group arrives at Tails' workshop.
