Description Okay, this scan sucks 'cause the paper buckled from the watercolors.

For ~CocoMidori , her character Coco.
I am a master of procrastination and this should have been to you way before this, but I hope you enjoy it

Mechanical pencil sketch followed by a Staedtler pigment liner in .05, Derwent Inktense pencils and some wet and dry Q-tips, another liner in .3, Prismacolor Verithin pencils, another liner in .7 (most of the black space surrounding her), and white and black old Pentel watercolors applied/splattered with a toothbrush, all on sketch paper (hence the buckling >.< )
I used myself as a pose reference when needed.

edit
This is a little better, though still blurry (and now with a new and improved grainy effect, oh joy)...I may wind up taking a photo or something.
The colors are still weird, too - my scanner supersaturates the black and grey parts while simultaneously desaturating the color...very frustrating *sigh*

Thank you!
I think this is more an issue of me being dumb and doing it on sketch paper instead of paper meant to stand up to heavy water use >.< but then, the scanner's been doing weird things with color anyway, so maybe it's both?
I'm waiting for the paper to dry a little more; I got it wet again and pressed it between a couple of heavy books, so hopefully it'll be flatter and less blurry when I rescan it.

hm yea but even thicker paper will still buckle and scanners are always a pain! lol
I hope it works better the 2nd time around! I would have never thought to wet it again and THEN press it. I probably would've been dumb and tried to press it while it was still wrinkled...

The trick is cheating by using watercolor pencils for most of it! The watercolor paints I used are the splattery messy "happy accident" stuff, not the colors of the girl.
...I suck at using watercolors any other way >.>
