That's dream logic for you. That part was actually told to me in that dream - by someone telling me that one day, a speleologist found a giant beast at the bottom of a cave, went "'kay" and just left.

I love the limited perspective and palette... it's evocative of so many emotions, and really makes you wonder what's up in the darkness (if anything!).

That's funny because when I started to paint this one, it was mostly yellow and brown, but my love for the color blue took over soon after
