Looks like she's sinking, but otherwise nicely done.

Cool, are you enjoying University life? what is your major? I am an older student at 53 and doing a graphic design program(A.S.)online, they are accelerated classes at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, the only negative things are it's only accredited like in the mid-western states here,
I am a glad to have met you Dragonheart...

Hi DragonHeart, I like the online classes even though they are accelerated, 5.5 weeks for 10 weeks, ouch! One of the reasons is, I was able to transfer in with 33 credits and most of the general ed.out of the way,but there are classes in different areas of design, using photoshop and illustrator, which i never used until Feb.of 2010,plus I work independently pretty good, it is very interesting and I hope to grad. at the end of 2013, I hope it pays off after all the time and and paying back st.loans, another ouch! yes we can be friends on DA. I have been working on a painting off and on for two months now, might be done sometime soon.

I know about the spare time thing. I have only been using the computer since 09, and had to do some extreme learning to get what little distance i have in photoshop and illustrator. There is a lot of writing and everything has to be MLA which is pretty easy compared to APA writing. I don't mind doing the research on different areas of graphic design. The ship I am working on is one of the two American whaling ships that made it into the 20th century,The Wanderer, sadly it was blown on the rocks in the early 1900's and sank. The civil war is to blame for sinking hundreds of whalers because they all came from northern ports, what a shame! Now there is only one whaler, The Charles W. Morgan which is a floating museum. You can paint sail boats a ships in acrylic. I would like to see some of your pictures.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. If there were anyone who doubted the beauty of sailing ships, one look at your paintings would cure him.
