We'll never figure out the mystery of dA views, comments and faves.
How is it that some crappy sketch gets faved instantly after you post it, but some fully rendered piece with background, etc, sits there forever with 3 views?

Most of the time when I find a good pic or story I look at it thinking OK that is cool and move on.
However there is the rare case where I fine one that I love in which case I will usually end up leaving a comment and perhaps adding it to my fave list.

I pretty much never comment on anything... Or favourite anything.

But yeah, I know how this is. Although that comment and fav. level is quite a bit higher than mine.
once I was like "Maybe I'll do requests", then I got 4 people interested. Whereas when I put up art normally then I end up with like max 8 people who actually even look at it. (Seriously, the last thing I put up has 8 views and nothing else. XP)

I had a similar issue once. I had a bunch of rather nice pictures on my page at the time, and I'm always happy to get a favorite here and there. The one time I put anything mildly sexy (Chiss Secretary piece) I instantly get thousands of views and over time hundreds of favorites.
I am keenly aware that if I just put a bunch of big-boobied ladies on my page, I would get a lot more faves than I currently do.

And very little comments some of my charity photos get this much favs
And so little comments.....some of the comments usally spam

I hardly get comments, and commissions are extremely rare nowadays, even with the "decent" prices I have.

really that happens all the time with me and pictures i worked really hard on and feel proud about and hardly anyone seems to notice, then art that i scribbled for 5 minutes and it looks absolutely horrible everyone freaks out over XDD
