A Cuca, uma lenda antiga (e a minha favorita) que veio da lenda do El Cuco, ou Coca, As vezes um Jacaré femea com corpo feminino humanoide e as vezes como bruxa velha e deformada, que vai atrás das crianças que não dormem a noite ou crianças desobedientes que não dormem no horario correto, as sequestrando e depois as devorando

Ela ficou extremamente famosa devido as obras do autor Monteiro Lobato e na série de tv infantil Sitio Do Pica Pau Amarelo

Ela é comumente lembrada pela canção de ninar cantada pelos pais para fazer as crianças dormir

The Cuca, an ancient legend (and my favorite) that came from the legend of El Cuco, or Coca, Sometimes a witch alligator with a humanoid female body and sometimes as a deformed old witch, who goes after children who don't sleep at night or disobedient children who don't they sleep at the correct time, kidnapping them and then devouring them

She became extremely famous due to the works of the author Monteiro Lobato and in the children's tv series Sitio Do Pica Pau Amarelo

She is commonly remembered for the lullaby sung by the parents to make the children sleep:

Sleep Baby
That Cuca will catch
Dad went to the farm
Mom went for a walk
