I have a friend, she was very depressed back in time aswell, she wanted to take her life, I tried everythingto stop her, but she wouldn't listen.
Now she's finally happy, didn't commit suiside. She has a family now.

I can tell that people with depression always think that there is no other way out then killen themselfs, not thinkin about their family and friends.. hwo they will feel when they are gone..

R.I.P Chester, you will never be forgetten. †

Hopefully this can serve as a lesson to people.  Hating the President and his supporters is an emotional dead end that will just end up leaving you sad and frustrated.

Dude. You're pinning his whole psychological state on his political views? Don't be an ass. There was so much more to it than that, including the loss of one of his close friends. The part that confused me was how you overlooked an obvious factor like that.

Don't try to make people like Trump by threatening them with sadness if they don't. We all know that's not how it works.

Obviously I'm not saying that was the only reason.  You don't even know what you're talking about.  Put your emotions aside for a moment and try using your logical brain instead.  It only stands to reason that a suicidal mental illness and a belief your country elected a "terrorist" has something to do with eachother.  You can deny reality until you're blue in the face, but reality persists.  Reality can be a tough pill to swallow, so don't choke on it.

Which part confused you?  Did you just not pay attention to the things Chad was saying before he killed himself?  Look it up.

Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest'

Wow...
He suffered with mental illness you fucking insensitive prick, after having a series of massively traumatic incidences in his younger life which most definitely would of contributed to it.
You're the type of cunt that would tell someone who just had their leg chopped off to get up and walk it off.
You sicken me and most probably everyone else that read your comment.

He wasn't the most miserable...he had fame, family, billions of people who love him...some have less than this and they fight, they are aware or the preciousness of life and they fight, keeping the people who love them in mind...without being selfish or self-centered...keeping in mind that there are people who suffer more than he did and THEY JUST FIGHT! Sorry but his values, his beliefs were horrendous and I conclude that he had poor consideration for the world where he was living. To live is to fight!

Well, mental illnesses can and does make you mentally weak(it's called an 'illness' for a reason,) just like getting your arm cut off or split open can make your arm physically weak. It's not that hard to understand, people...

dsopsec In reply to lucid-dream07 [2017-07-21 19:22:51 +0000 UTC]

The trouble with "weak" is that it has multiple senses. There is the kind of weakness that doesn't reflect badly on you, which I'll call physical weakness (having bad knees makes you a weak runner, but it's not your fault) and then there is the kind that reflects very badly on you, which I'll call moral weakness (never trying to exercise also makes you a weak runner, and it is your fault).

The trouble with mental problems is that it can be hard for outside observers to distinguish physical weakness from moral weakness.

I agree. A lot of people mindset are "I'll believe it when I see it" but when people try to talk to them about what mental illness(es) they're going through and how it affects their lives, most people will not believe them and just go by their own experiences like "I was sad once and I didn't hurt myself or try to kill myself." They need to understand that being sad is not the same as having depression...
