One thing perplexes me though... Why are there so many pictures with ponies nipping the long feathers of the pegasi's wings? It's not really preening, since preening is not exactly biting or cutting the feathers. It's more about feather alignment and cleaning.
I guess it's just one of those fandom things that are meant to be more cute than accurate. Immersion-breaking is a more suitable word, if you ask me.
