Carrie Ann Hansen (née Pines) was born the summer before Ford and his twin brother Stan attended their senior year of high school, the first of two children of Sherman “Shermy” Pines. The twins did love their niece in their own ways, but they only really got to know little Carrie as a baby due to their own situations. By the time Carrie was about ten years old, Ford had fallen into the interdimensional portal, and Stan assumed the role as owner of what is now known as the Mystery Shack.

Some years after Carrie‘s brother (Dipper and Mabel’s father) was born, her family moved from New Jersey to New York’s Long Island, where she would grow up and attend high school, and later college, where she met her husband Mark Hansen. She, Mark, and their three children currently live in Paumanok, but perhaps maybe one day, one of the Stan twins could visit.

Carrie would have previously believed that Stan was dead and Ford was now running the Mystery Shack, but that would change after that fateful summer. She’d probably get along a bit with Uncle Ford, along with Uncle Stan, and perhaps be thankful that they’re alive and well and that she got to know them better.
