I'm doing my own Spider-Man series, and Carlie is in it.
Seeing how it is one where I do whatever I want, I wanted Venom as the main antagonist, I added two OCs: Abby and Kaitlyn McCauley/Massacre, made Gwen the love interest, had a bunch of stuff from the original comics, the Ultimate comics, the Sam Raimi AND Marc Webb films, and the Web of Shadows video game, made MJ Watson Eddie Brock's niece, etc.
Despite the messed up slag in the series, I think it probably isn't half-bad. The writing is a bit sloppy, the concepts are a bit odd, but at least I try to be a bit faithful to the source material. The story shows the drama of Peter Parker's life, the whole responsibility thing, and addresses some of Linkara's complaints. I decided to add Carlie because of the Green Goblin's Goblin Nation thing, but I wanted to develop her more as a character and explore her strengths and weaknesses before the Goblin Nation happened, but I also wanted to turn her into a symbiote, so to do that, I did this rather stupid thing where Doc Ock kidnaps her from a battle and removes the Goblin Serum...JUST TO INJECT HER WITH ARTIFICIAL SYMBIOTE GOO!!!!
Nostalgia Critic: I suck!
Seeing how Captain Stacy is a widow father to 3 children (Gwen, whatever the two brothers were named), and Gwen's origin is a variation of Peter's origin by using George Stacy as her Uncle Ben figure, she was left with no guardians except her oldest brother (age 22) and Carlie, who was George Stacy's partner and is now his replacement as captain of the NYPD.
Again...I need a co-writer.

Not really she wasn't very liked as a character however when she became monster however...Β
It made one wonder what would happen if she found one of his spare spidey suits while doing something as trivial as living with him or spending the night together if she still had traces of Monster in her.Β

And now she's left the series.Β I doubt anyone will miss her too much.

To be honest, I didn't think Carlie was that bad of a character, the problem was, writers forced a relationship between her and Peter Parker, and she was introduced practically right after One More Day, so there was still a lot of bitterness from Spider-Fans over Peter and MJ's marriage being broken up in such a stupid manner.

Yeah, she'd be better off without being forced into the role of Peter's one true love.Β But Joe Quesada thinks otherwise.

Yeah, that whole era REEKED of editorial interference.
I think in good hands, Carlie would make a great character.

Chris Yost...Superior Goblin comic (Carlie still has traces of Goblin Serum, so who's to say she can't be a Goblin-themed superhero)...MAKE IT HAPPEN, MARVEL!

Maybe, but I think she'd be better as a supporting character.

Maybe the first thing they could've done was get her away from Spider-Man, and have her be a part of another character's supporting cast.
