Chana gazed in amusement at the little imp she had bound to her desk. The creature, whose name was not pronounceable with a human tongue, glared back up at her. He hated her, she knew that. He hated the fact that he was held in sway to her power, because as far as he was concerned it should be the other way around. However, in his world the only rule was Power. She had it, he did not. That was all that mattered.

He had given her the information he had discovered while spying on her rivals. He did well, but Chana would never say that to him. Now, it was simply a matter of whether she would dismiss him or keep him there to... remind him of why she was the Master.
