Description

Lieutenant Edward Hermann was a seasoned veteran of the Interstellar Military, having served for over twenty years across numerous planets and galaxies. He had seen more than his fair share of horrors during his time in service, but nothing had prepared him for the terror that awaited him on the planet Aegis II.

Aegis II was a remote, desolate world on the fringes of known space, and it had long been rumored to harbor strange and dangerous artifacts left behind by an ancient civilization. When Edward and his squad arrived on Aegis II, they were tasked with recovering one of these artifacts, known as the Marker, and bringing it back to their superiors for study.

The Marker was a curious thing, a black monolith covered in strange symbols and inscriptions that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy. As soon as they found it, Edward and his squad felt something shift inside them, a sense of unease that they couldn't quite explain.

At first, Edward dismissed it as a side effect of the harsh conditions on Aegis II, but as they began to transport the Marker back to their ship, things started to get strange. He felt a growing hunger in the pit of his stomach, a craving for something he couldn't name. He tried to ignore it, but it only grew stronger as they journeyed back to their ship.

By the time they arrived, Edward was barely recognizable. His skin was pale and clammy, his eyes sunken and hollow. He was no longer the man his squadmates had known and trusted; he was something else entirely.

As soon as they boarded the ship, all hell broke loose. Edward's hunger had turned into a ravenous thirst for blood, and he attacked his squadmates with a ferocity they had never seen before.

The other soldiers fought back with all their might, but Edward's newfound strength and aggression were too much for them to handle.

One by one, his squadmates fell before him, their screams echoing through the ship. Edward's mind was consumed by a single, insatiable desire: to kill and feed. He no longer felt like himself, like he was possessed by some dark force.

In a last-ditch effort to stop him, the remaining soldiers managed to trap Edward in a containment chamber and send a distress signal back to their superiors. But it was too late. Edward had become the vessel for a powerful alien entity that had been dormant inside the Marker, waiting for a host to awaken it.

The Interstellar Military arrived soon after, but they were no match for the entity that had possessed Edward. The creature tore through their ranks, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

In the end, the only thing that stopped the entity was the destruction of the entire planet Aegis II, as the Interstellar Military had no other way of containing it. Edward Hermann and his squadmates were never seen again, their fate a cautionary tale for all those who dared to meddle with the unknown forces of the universe.
