beautiful scenes ~ right in our own backyard.

I'm glad you like this one,I'm not clever enough to make this kind of simplicity work very often; as a matter of fact every fresh attempt at painting is a battle.

I never thought acrylics could look so ethereal. Wonderful display of skill and use of colors, I like the way the blues used in the background give you the feeling of depth and manage to capture so well the looks and feeling of a misty landscape.

I agree with your choice but I enjoy experimenting with pastels (stay tuned to this station for further examples) so I decided to post both efforts.

I wish I could say that I sat there like a true artist and painted from life, but in fact I took a photograph and painted it from that. I find it much more comfortable and productive to work in my studio.
