2014 - 13" x 9" - oil on canvas

This is an overpainting of a quant maple leaves on water still life, that I happened to make into angry fish... the maple leaves makes it Canadian

Are these the elusive but deadly, Canadian piranhas that are usually only heard about through ancestral stories??? I love this painting! I love when scary looking fish can put a smile on my face. Excellent painting!

Thank you so much! these fish got named for the fact that this was a badly rendered pair of Canadian maple leafs before I turned it into these angry fish. I'm so happy people are liking the fish. I'm actually doing my first vertical dyptich now, and the textures from the top and bottom of each piece tile, so either piece can be top or bottom.

Thanks for sharing the evolution of how Canadian maple leaves became angry fish. I enjoy hearing the artistic process artists go through when they start at Point A and end up at Point 7#64g86!!  Your vertical dyptich work sounds really great. I am looking forward to checking it out when it's finished.
